Here Comes the DS106

I took the plunge and joined the DS106 open education course taught by Jim Groom at the University of Mary Washington. Last spring I followed the course from a distance, nosing around the assignments, following the twitter banter and sporadically tuned into to #ds106 radio.

I hope by officially registering for the course I will be motivated to push my creative boundaries this spring. It should also help with my early new years resolution to revitalize my often neglected "professional" (or at least semi-professional) webspace. I also hope to try to take over the #ds106 airwaves with some vinyl cuts.

Jim's presentation at Penn State a few months ago pushed me over the edge. Do more, wait less.
